Collision Alert Bike Systems : Roadio system

Collision warning and avoidance systems have become quite commonplace on traditional cars but aren’t seen much in the motorcycle or electric bike markets, which is something the Roadio system is here to change.

The system is currently being developed by the San Francisco-based brand, and consists of front and rear 210-degree fisheye cameras and the RoadioSafety app running on the rider’s smartphone at their handlebars. The system will capture a 360-degree view of the road around the rider, which will be continuously analyzed by artificial intelligence (AI) to detect if a collision is predicted to occur. The app will then warn the rider, providing them with four to six-seconds of time to take evasive action.

The Roadio system is currently being offered to manufacturers for factory installation.
