Phoenix police arrest DUI suspect in fire truck crash – Daily Independent

A 30-year-old man has been booked into Maricopa County Jail for a collision Sunday morning that sent five Phoenix firefighters to a hospital.
Alexis Alcantar Mendoza was booked into jail for DUI, police said.
The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. Dec. 31. Police said early information indicates the suspect’s vehicle ran a red light and collided into the fire truck near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road.
The firefighters and Mendoza were taken to a hospital as a precaution, police said.
