Santa Claus made an appearance in the village on Dec. 8 to visit with all the children.
He was first spotted in the Christmas parade sponsored by the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce. The parade ended at the Olde Main Street Museum, where a tree lighting was held, and all local boys and girls could tell Santa what was on their Christmas wish lists.
Contributions from Kustom Kemps
The Dover-based group Kustom Kemps of Ohio announced the 2023 donation recipients from the four car shows the company sponsors annually.
The group is the oldest running custom car and truck association in the country and is made up of mostly Tuscarawas County residents. Secretary Debbie Rehard said this year’s recipients were the local Meals on Wheels program, the Salvation Army of Dover/New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County Council for Church and Community, and Barr’s Mill Food Pantry.
Each received $1,000, made possible by sponsors throughout the year and those involved with the car shows.
