One Dead in Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist died from injuries related to a crash Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:24 p.m., Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and REMSA responded to a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash on Kietzke Lane near Bassar Street.

The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, but later died.

The Reno Police Department M.A.I.T. (Major Accident Investigation Team) is handling the investigation. Neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors in this crash.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The roadway was closed for several hours bus has since been fully reopened.
